KATE PLONER

Kate was born in the small town of Camrose Alberta. She grew up roaming the creeks, ponds and nature trails Camrose has to offer. She is a nature lover through and through! She found a love for animals at a young age and was an avid equestrian until early adulthood. She competed in Hunter/Jumper circuits around the province.

After she graduated high school she transitioned into the hospitality industry and was an assistant night manager at a hotel while obtaining her post secondary diploma in Massage therapy and starting up a Massage Therapy business. The business ran successfully for a few years, Kate worked in a Physiotherapy clinic conducting massage treatments and assessments on patients, which she thoroughly enjoyed! Building relationships and helping people is a true passion for Kate. Kate relocated to Edmonton for a change of scenery, in 2009. Kate secured a position as a Family Counselor at a West end Cemetery and Funeral home, she worked there for 5 years, helping grieving families make arrangements for their deceased loved ones and themselves. Kate hadn't found her true passion yet, it wasn't until 2014 when Kate truly discovered her passion, REAL ESTATE! This was an epiphany moment, Kate had always loved Real Estate, although she didn't know it! She loved driving around looking at houses when she was young, stopping in at local open houses to check out the floor plans, color schemes and layouts of the houses in her community. Real estate also allowed Kate to build genuine relationships with people and assist in helping them live their dream! Which she truly loves!

Kate started off in an Edmonton based modular home manufacturing company selling modular homes to families, she then transitioned into new home sales with an award winning builder. Soon after she found another niche she was very interested in, Property Management! Kate worked in a west end Property Management brokerage for a little over 4 years, helping owners and tenants accomplish their goals, learning the Edmonton and surrounding areas rental and sales market trends. Working with realtors to assist owners in purchasing lucrative investment properties. As well as filling vacancies and conducting a variety of other tasks, gaining all kinds of insight and knowledge into the Real Estate market as a whole. In this role Kate was not able to sell properties, she already had her licensing credentials, so after a little over 4 years, she transferred to a brokerage that allowed her to encompass all of her obtained skills, RE/MAX Rental Advisors.

Kate is working with Rental Advisors and loves her role, she is able to work with people on all levels of their new home journey! Kate and her husband have 3 dogs, they consider as their fur babies! They are working on achieving their acreage living dream.
